Many people wonder what artificial intelligence is and how it can be used in daily life. AI is commonly known as a technology that can perform administrative tasks and many other activities quickly and efficiently. AI is no longer limited to technology companies. Students, workers and everyday people use AI to make daily tasks easier. From studying faster to managing schedules, AI is becoming a personal assistant for many people.
Learning and Education
AI can be a useful tool for learning and education. Students can use AI to generate flashcards, create study guides and to understand difficult concepts. By simplifying complex definitions and ideas, AI can help students prepare for exams more effectively.
AI can also help solve technical problems. For example, if your computer suddenly stops working, many people spend time searching on google or youtube for solutions. Instead of spending long periods searching online, AI can provide you with faster answers and suggest possible solutions.
Another way people use AI is when they are repairing items. For example, someone fixing a bike or building something may not know what part is missing. AI tools such as Chat GPT can analyze images or videos and help identify missing parts, as well as suggest where it can be purchased.
Building healthy habits and fitness
Many people want to live healthier lives but are unsure where to start. Some people struggle with planning meals workout schedules based on balanced meals or creating a consistent workout routine.
For people who are new to the gym, AI can also provide structured workout plans. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, beginners can follow routines designed to help them improve their strength and fitness.
Elizabeth Marquez, a student at BCCHS, said she has used AI tools to learn more about nutrition.
“There is an app where you take a picture of your food and count your calories and I have also seen online that they have asked Chat GPT or AI to make a meal prep for them. I did ask Chat GPT. I found this recipe online but I didn’t know how many calories it had and Chat GPT was able to tell me how many calories it had”.
This shows how not only one individual can use AI to its potential. Marquez’s experience shows how AI can help people quickly find useful information related to food and healthy living.
Writing emails
Each day, about 376 billion emails are sent and received worldwide. Writing professional emails can sometimes be difficult, especially when trying to ensure that messages sound clear and professional.
AI tools can improve writing by correcting grammar, organizing ideas and suggesting more professional tone. Many people write emails the same way they speak to friends, which may always sound appropriate in professional situations. AI can help you adjust the tone so the messages can be clear and well structured. AI can make sure your grammar is correct, make sure that your email has the idea you want to convey and it will make your email more structured.
Marquez said she sometimes uses AI to review emails before sending them.
“I don’t ask you to write it for me, I ask it to give me ideas and help me out. Once I am done I send it to AI to make sure everything is fine,”
Her approach shows how AI can be used as a helpful tool to review writing while still allowing people to send what they want to in a professional tone.
Security Risk
AI can help verify suspicious emails. Many students and professionals receive messages about job opportunities, internships or business offers. Sometimes the email includes links that may lead to fishing link scams.
What you can do to prevent that is use AI, AI since it’s smart it can detect whether something is true or not it can help you verify the email if its from legit company or brand and if the domain of the link is actual or not. Often people get excited when they receive an opportunity in the email. In many cases users click the link without thinking because they are so focused on the potential opportunity. Using AI as a second check can help reduce the risk of falling for scams.
